Inflation Falls to 0.1% in February

Inflation in Greece slowed significantly in February 2026, reaching 0.1% according to data from the Statistical Service. This is a decrease compared to the 0.5% recorded in January. The largest price increase was observed in Agricultural Products (4.2%), while the largest decrease was in Electricity and Water (-9.3%). On a monthly basis, the largest change was also recorded in Electricity and Water (-2.5%). Compared to February 2025, the largest price decreases were observed in Clothing and Footwear (-6.8%), Restaurants and Accommodation Services (4.7%), Educational Services (3.7%) and Transport (-3.7%). Similarly, on a monthly basis, the largest increases were recorded in Clothing and Footwear (0.8%), while decreases were recorded in Recreation, Sports and Culture (-0.5%) and Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (-0.4%). For the two months of 2026, inflation stands at 0.29%, confirming the trend of slowing price increases.
