House Prices in Cyprus Rise 46.86% in a Decade

According to Eurostat data, house prices in the European Union increased by 5.5% in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, while rents rose by 3.1%. Compared to the second quarter of 2025, the increase in house prices was 1.6% and in rents 0.9%. In Cyprus, the increase in house prices was marginal, only 0.1% compared to the third quarter of 2024, and showed a decrease of 0.3% compared to the second quarter of 2025. However, over a decade (2015-2025), house prices in Cyprus increased by 46.86%. Regarding the performance of various member states, house prices increased more than rents in 25 countries. The largest increase in house prices was recorded in Hungary (+275%), followed by Portugal (+169%), Lithuania (+162%), and Bulgaria (+156%). Only Finland showed a decrease (-2%). As for rents, they increased in all 27 member states, with Hungary leading the increase (+107%), followed by Lithuania (+85%), Slovenia (+76%), Poland (+75%), and Ireland (+74%).
