Hellenic Navy Message from Frigates Kimon and Psara for Cyprus and the Mediterranean

The Hellenic Navy sent its message for March 25th, honoring the national anniversary through references from personnel serving on surface units in the Mediterranean and Cyprus. Personnel from the frigates Kimon, Hydra, Psara, Aigaion and the general support ship Heraklis participated in the anniversary message. The personnel emphasized the importance of the sea in the history and freedom of Greece, as well as the continued presence of the Navy in protecting national interests. They highlighted the responsibility and determination of Greek sailors in the Eastern Mediterranean. Specifically, the personnel of the frigates Kimon and Psara, operating in Cyprus, stated that “battles and freedom were born from the sea, and we continue from the same sea.” The Hydra frigate is on a mission where Greece and Europe need a stable presence, while the Heraklis ship participates in a NATO force in the Adriatic. The message concluded with a promise to keep the strength of Hellenism alight and to continue to carry the flag of Greece with pride on every sea.
