Health Minister Calls Meeting on Building Condition of Athlassa Hospital

The Minister of Health, Neofytos Charalambides, has called a meeting to discuss the building condition of Athlassa Hospital, following complaints from nurses and the results of a static study that showed the buildings were dangerous and structurally inadequate. The meeting will be held on Monday and a specific action plan to address the situation will be requested. At the same time, the Minister of Health confirmed the existence of a complaint regarding an incident involving a 42-year-old woman who was found fallen on the floor of the toilet at Larnaca Hospital, where she was being treated. The complaint has been forwarded to the OKYPY for investigation and the results are awaited. The Minister stressed that the investigation of the case has been forwarded to the OKYPY in urgent form, in order to determine the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary measures.
