Greek Football Mourns the Loss of Vasilis Daniel

Vasilis Daniel, a significant figure in Greek football, has passed away at the age of 88. As a coach, Daniel led Panathinaikos to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1988 and won the double in 1991. He also had a successful career with 106 wins in 161 matches across three different spells at Panathinaikos. Additionally, he served as the coach of the Greek National Team from 1999 to 2001. His funeral will be held in Kavala.
