Greece Marks Three Years Since Tempi Train Tragedy with Protests

Thousands of people took to the streets in Athens and other cities across Greece to commemorate the victims of the Tempi train tragedy, three years after the railway accident. Protesters demanded justice and safer trains, while minor clashes broke out in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Heraklion. Police made 174 detentions and 11 arrests. Representatives from various political parties participated in the protest, but Maria Karystianou, a mother of a victim, did not deliver a speech this year.
