German 'Land Grabber': Claims Humiliating Treatment in Prison – Found Mouse Head in Food

The German real estate agent accused of usurping Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories has filed a request for release on bail, claiming she has suffered 'humiliating treatment' in prison. Her lawyer stated that his client has faced serious difficulties in accessing prescribed medication, as well as other poor conditions of detention. Specifically, the defendant's lawyer reported that her medication was unjustly discontinued from December 2024 and, despite repeated attempts, was restored for only two months, only to be interrupted again in January. In addition, he submitted information about the discovery of a mouse head in her food, which led to a complaint to the Police. The court decided not to proceed with the bail request at this stage, requesting the defendant to submit a detailed written testimony regarding her conditions of detention. At the same time, the prosecuting authority will submit written testimony from the Central Prison regarding the defendant's claims. The defendant's lawyer proposed alternative measures, such as a bail of €600,000, daily reporting to a police station, and surrender of her travel documents.
