All information regarding the funeral of George Vassiliou The funeral of the former President of the Republic of Cyprus, George Vassiliou, who passed away at the age of 94, will be held on Saturday, January 17th, at the Holy Church of Hagia Sophia in Strovolos. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, and the family will receive condolences at the church from 11:30 AM. Following the service, the burial will take place at the Aglantzia Cemetery. The body of the deceased will be laid in state, giving citizens the opportunity to pay their respects to the former President. The family requests that, instead of wreaths, those who wish to make donations.
