Former French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin has died at the age of 88. Jospin served as prime minister from 1997 to 2002, implementing significant reforms such as the 35-hour work week, universal health coverage, and the civil solidarity pact for same-sex couples. Prior to his premiership, he served as Minister of Education in the late 1980s and early 1990s. As First Secretary of the Socialist Party, he led the “Pluralist Left” coalition.
