First RSV Death Reported in Cyprus This Season

The first death from RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) for this season was recorded in Cyprus yesterday. The victim was a 40-year-old man with underlying health conditions, who was hospitalized in a private hospital. Simultaneously, the number of deaths attributed to the flu has risen to 26 across Cyprus. Dr. Karagiannis stated that the possibility of a second wave of flu on the island remains open.
