Στις 11:17 χθες, Σάββατο 14 Μαρτίου, ο Πυροσβεστικός Σταθμός Πόλης Χρυσοχούς ανταποκρίθηκε για πρόληψη ατυχήματος στη κοινότητα Πωμού
Όπως αναφέρει ο εκπρόσωπος Τύπου της Υπηρεσίας, Ανδρέας Κεττίς, από τον αέρα μετακινήθηκε μεγάλη μεταλλική πέργολα από πασαμάνα και τσίγκους και κατέληξε σε καλώδια και σε πάσσαλο της ΑΗΚ, τον οποίο απέκοψε και ακινητοποιήθηκε σε δέντρα.
Στο σημείο του επεισοδίου παρευρέθηκε συνεργείο επιφυλακής της ΑΗΚ και ο δήμαρχος της κοινότητας. Η πέργολα μετακινήθηκε με τη χρήση εκσκαφέα σε ασφαλές μέρος και το συνεργείο της ΑΗΚ ανέλαβε την επιδιόρθωση της βλάβης.

Fire Department Responded to Storm Damage: Metal Pergola Falls on Electricity Cables
Yesterday, Saturday, March 14th, the Fire Department responded to a call in Polis Chrysochous to prevent an accident. A large metal pergola was dislodged by the weather conditions and fell onto electricity cables and a EAC pole, causing damage. An EAC crew and the mayor of the community rushed to the scene. The pergola was removed with an excavator, and EAC undertook the repair of the cable damage. The incident did not cause any injuries, but the intervention of the authorities was required to restore power and prevent further accidents.
