Fidan: Iran's Attacks on Gulf Countries a 'Wrong Strategy'

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan described Iran's attacks on Gulf countries as an “extremely wrong strategy,” emphasizing that several of them worked to prevent escalation of the conflict. He warned that the use of the “right to respond” by the countries that were attacked could lead to an expansion of the war front, creating a serious risk for Turkey. Mr. Fidan stated that energy infrastructure and political facilities are being hit, increasing the risk of further escalation. He considered that the new leadership in Iran could be an opportunity to stop the war. He emphasized that continuous meetings are being held in Ankara and that the President is regularly informed.
