According to Eurostat data for 2024, individuals born abroad report discrimination more frequently than native-born residents, both in Cyprus and across the EU. In Cyprus, discrimination is primarily reported in public services (6.6%) and housing (6%). At the EU level, housing (12.5%) and contact with public services (9.7%) are the areas where discrimination is most frequently reported. Eurostat notes significant differences between countries, with the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Finland, and Portugal showing the highest rates of reported discrimination for immigrants.
