Eurobank and Cyprus Seeds Continue Strategic Partnership

Eurobank and Cyprus Seeds have renewed their strategic partnership for a seventh consecutive year, reaffirming their commitment to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Cyprus. The collaboration aims to support the commercialization of scientific research conducted at universities and research centers in Cyprus. Cyprus Seeds provides funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities to research teams. To date, the program has supported 24 research teams from various Cypriot organizations, including the University of Cyprus, the Technological University of Cyprus, and the Cyprus Institute. The partnership has contributed to the creation of six startups and one licensing agreement. Cyprus Seeds serves as a bridge between Cyprus and the Greek and Cypriot diaspora, securing funding and international connections. It has been internationally recognized for its contribution to innovation, receiving awards from the Financial Times and the International Chamber of Commerce. Eurobank considers investment in research and innovation as an integral part of its strategy for sustainable development and competitiveness. The CEO of Cyprus Seeds, Maria Markidou Georgiou, stated that Eurobank's support is crucial for empowering Cypriot scientists and transforming their research into solutions with real impact.
