Employers' Federation Launches Harsh Attack on Health Ministry Over Nursing Shortage

The Employers and Industrialists Federation of Cyprus (OEB) has launched a strong attack on the Ministry of Health, accusing it of inaction in addressing the severe shortage of nurses. The OEB expresses its disagreement with the assignment of a new study on the problem, considering it a waste of time, while private hospitals are at a critical point. It points out that despite repeated proposals, none have been adopted, resulting in a worsening situation and a risk to patient health. The OEB warns that it will take all necessary measures, even if they affect the operation of hospitals, if immediate decisions and solutions are not implemented. It believes that the health sector cannot withstand further studies and meetings, but needs immediate action.
