Emmanouil Karalis Withdraws from France Due to Ankle Injury

Emmanouil Karalis has withdrawn from the meeting in Caen, France (January 31st) due to a minor ankle discomfort. The athlete had already achieved an impressive 5.93 meters in the pole vault at Lodz on January 25th, but stumbled upon landing, causing irritation in the area. His coaches, Haris Karalis and Marcin Stepanski, decided to protect the athlete and allow him to compete directly at Fly Athens on February 7th, in Paiania, in front of the Greek audience. Karalis is in excellent competitive condition, with 5.93 meters being the world's leading performance. His goal is to improve the national record he holds (6.05 meters). The decision to withdraw from France was taken as a precaution, so as not to worsen the injury and allow Karalis to compete at Fly Athens under the best possible conditions.
