Direct Flights from Kazakhstan to Cyprus Announced for Next June

The Deputy Ministry of Tourism announced the launch of direct flights from Kazakhstan to Cyprus in June 2026. The flights will be operated by Air Astana and will connect Larnaca Airport with Astana and Almaty, two of Kazakhstan's most important cities, with two flights weekly from each city. The launch of the flights marks a historic moment, as Cyprus is connected directly with the Central Asian country for the first time. The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, described the development as a success and emphasized the importance of opening new markets for Cyprus tourism, as well as the potential for developing closer relations between the two countries. The Deputy Ministry of Tourism will participate in the tourism exhibition in Almaty in April to strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism.
