Cyprus Stock Exchange Reports Strong Growth in 2025

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced significant growth in 2025, with the General Price Index rising by 27.29% compared to 2024. The average daily trading activity reached €699 thousand, while the total capitalization reached €35.7 billion, marking an increase of over 50%. The participation of foreign investors (37.8%) and Remote Members (10%) was also significant. This growth is attributed, among other things, to the parallel trading of European Bonds of the Republic of Cyprus and the listing of Eurobank A.E. shares on the CSE. At the same time, the privatization of the CSE was promoted with the submission of relevant legislation to the Parliament, emphasizing the selection of a strategic investor with expertise and a sustainable business plan. Finally, the Market Maker institution was implemented to enhance liquidity and marketability, while the CSE strengthened its role in the Energy sector and promoted initiatives for sustainable development and corporate governance.
