Cyprus Presents Eight Proposals to Boost EU Competitiveness

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, presented eight proposals to strengthen EU competitiveness at an informal EU Summit in Belgium, based on the successful example of the Cypriot economy. He emphasized the need to accelerate European integration in areas such as the Single Market, the Energy Union, the Savings and Investment Union, and the Capital Markets Union. The proposals include simplifying the regulatory framework and reducing strategic dependencies. Cyprus is prioritizing competitiveness during its Presidency of the Council of the EU.
