Cyprus MFA Advises Citizens Stranded in Gulf Countries

The Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued guidance for Cypriot citizens stranded in Gulf countries amidst the crisis triggered by the conflict between Iran and the USA-Israel. The primary instruction is for all citizens wishing to return to Cyprus to register on the connect2cy platform to facilitate communication and assistance. A significant concentration of Cypriot citizens is observed in the United Arab Emirates, where the government has offered to cover the accommodation of those stranded. Citizens are advised to stay informed through Cypriot and local media for further developments. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with embassies and is organizing a coordinating council with EU countries regarding repatriation efforts. It is reminded that many flights have been canceled due to the closure of airspace.
