Cyprus Handball Team Involved in Road Accident in Estonia: 8 to Hospital – Bus Recovered from Ditch

The Cyprus national handball team was involved in a serious road accident in Estonia while traveling from Tallinn to Poland for competition commitments. The team's bus, carrying a total of 23 people, went off the road due to adverse weather conditions and overturned on the Tallinn–Tartu highway. Two members of the Cypriot delegation were taken to the University Hospital of Tartu for medical examination as a precaution, while the rest continued their journey by replacement bus and arrived safely at their destination, Poland. The Estonian Handball Federation is in constant communication with the Cypriot team and the European Handball Federation to monitor the situation. The Estonian Federation expressed its gratitude to the Southern Rescue Center and the Tartu ambulance for their immediate and effective response, which helped manage the situation. The rapid mobilization of emergency services was crucial for the safety of the team members.
