Cyprus Dams: Significant Inflows Expected, But 'No Room for Enthusiasm'

Despite recent rainfall, the Director of the Water Development Department, Eliana Tofa-Christidou, emphasized that there is no reason for enthusiasm regarding water inflows into the dams, as water resource management requires caution and long-term planning. While the Kouris dam has a higher fullness compared to last year, inflows into the dams in Larnaca and Famagusta remain low. The Director of the WDD stressed the importance of collective effort to save water and repair water networks to reduce losses. The possibility of water cuts during the summer months will become clear at the end of April.
