The Cypriot government is in negotiations with the Italian energy company ENI to sell natural gas to Europe via Egypt, with a target date of 2027. President Christodoulides met with ENI CEO Claudio Descalzi in Rome and reached a common direction. A video call between the two sides is expected to finalize the details. The goal is to sign an agreement on March 31st, within the framework of a natural gas forum in Egypt, and submit the development plan to the Council of Ministers.
