Cyclone Disrupts Australian LNG Production

Three major natural gas processing plants in Western Australia have suspended operations due to Tropical Cyclone Narelle, raising concerns about global supply, which is already facing problems due to the war in the Middle East. The plants are owned by Woodside Energy and Chevron Australia, which produce over 15% of the world's natural gas supply. The disruption coincides with rising natural gas prices in Asian countries, due to limited exports from Qatar, due to geopolitical tensions. The war in the Middle East has already caused serious problems in the global supply of oil and natural gas.
