Coordinated Operation by Limassol ADE Targets Unlicensed Businesses Run by Foreign Nationals

The Limassol ADE (Administrative Department of the Police) conducted a coordinated operation to inspect barbershops and other businesses managed by foreign nationals in the Limassol district. The operation, carried out by members of the Limassol OPE, the YAM (Special Anti-Terrorist Squad) of Morfou and Paphos, officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance, and the Tax Department, involved a total of 15 barbershop inspections. Four were found operating without a license and violating closing hours, while one restaurant was also operating illegally. Additionally, two businesses were reported for failing to issue receipts and using a card payment machine. Approximately 50 foreign nationals were investigated during the checks, with no further offenses detected. The ADE Limassol has committed to intensifying future inspections and filing reports whenever violations are found.
