Complaint Filed Over Patient's Death at Larnaca Hospital Amidst Chaos

The family of a 72-year-old patient has filed an official complaint regarding the conditions of her care at the Larnaca General Hospital, where she passed away after being admitted for COVID-19. The family reports a delay in her examination, a lack of adequate medical and nursing care due to a serious shooting incident that had occurred at the hospital, and incorrect information regarding her health condition. The patient's daughter was informed that her condition was stable, while just minutes later her son was notified of her death. The family has sent letters to the Minister of Health, the Director General of the OAY, and the Executive Director of the OKYPY, requesting an investigation into the circumstances and measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
