Chaos with CT Scanner in Troodos Hospital – OKYPY Under Fire

Troodos Hospital is facing a problem with its CT scanner, which was transferred from Limassol but has not been put into operation. The President of PASYKI, Dr. Sotiris Koumas, states that the management of the machine by OKYPY was problematic, as there was no proper planning for its immediate re-operation. In addition, there is a shortage of staff to operate the new machine when it is installed. At the same time, the health system is struggling to cope with the increased wave of influenza and other seasonal infections, resulting in an increase in hospitalizations and deaths. Emergency meetings have been held at the Ministry of Health to address the situation.
