A fierce dispute has erupted within DIKO following statements by Nikolas Papadopoulos regarding the party's cooperation with the Presidential Palace. DIKO MP Christos Orphanides accused the party leader of seeking an excuse to leave the government, while Labor Minister Marinos Mousiouttas described Papadopoulos's moves as "survival games" in light of the low poll ratings of centrist parties. DIPA also raised questions about DIKO's commitment to the Greece-Cyprus Interconnection (GSI) and the alignment of the new Minister of Energy, Michalis Damianou, with the government's positions. Nikolas Papadopoulos responded to the accusations, pointing out contradictions in the Presidential Office's statements regarding the GSI and emphasizing that the relationship with the Presidential Palace is not as desired, but there is room for improvement.
