BYD Records Impressive Performance in Cyprus in 2025

BYD recorded impressive performance in Cyprus in 2025, with the new energy vehicle market increasing by 29.3% compared to 2024, reaching 2,350 registrations, while the overall car market fell by 3.1%. BYD captured a 9.5% market share in the all-electric and Plug-In Hybrid vehicle category. Specifically, BYD became No. 1 in electric and Plug-in hybrid vehicle registrations in Cyprus for the period June-December 2025, with 224 registrations and a 15.7% market share. The most popular BYD models in Cyprus were the all-electric ATTO 3 and the Plug-in Hybrid SEAL U DM-i with Super Hybrid technology. The company has received 470 orders within seven months of its official entry into the Cypriot market, confirming public acceptance of its models. The Sfakianakis Group and ALPAN GROUP, as the official distributors of BYD in Cyprus, offer financial benefits to consumers through the “ELECTRIC BONUS” promotional campaign on all models. BYD continues to invest in the Cypriot market and plans to introduce new models in the first quarter of 2026.
