British Frigate Deployment to Cyprus Delayed

The British frigate HMS Dragon, intended to protect British bases in Cyprus, will not sail before next week. The delay is due to the need to load ammunition at Portsmouth. British officials state that accelerating the deployment was not possible, while avoiding commenting on the origin of the drone that hit the Akrotiri base, estimating it was not of Iranian manufacture. Simultaneously, Wildcat helicopters equipped with Martlet missiles will be deployed immediately to strengthen air defense, before the arrival of the frigate. The HMS Dragon will enhance protection against drones and missiles from Iran and Hezbollah.
