Brazil Ratifies EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement

Brazil has ratified the free trade agreement with the European Union and Mercosur, creating one of the largest free trade areas globally. The Senate's approval came days after its passage by the Chamber of Deputies. The agreement concerns trade and cooperation between the EU and Mercosur member countries (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay). Brazil's ratification is a significant step towards the completion of the agreement, as Argentina and Uruguay have already approved it. Only the approval of the Paraguayan parliament remains for the agreement to be fully implemented. The agreement is expected to strengthen trade relations and economic cooperation between the EU and Mercosur, offering new opportunities for growth and investment in both regions.
