Bloomberg: Gulf States 'Weighing' Military Options

Gulf states are considering joining military operations against Iran if Tehran attacks their critical infrastructure, according to Bloomberg sources. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are losing patience with Iranian attacks, but will only get involved if Tehran carries out threats to attack power and water infrastructure. Most Gulf states are considering this option, with the exception of Oman, which wants to maintain its role as a mediator. However, they are hesitant due to the risk of escalation and the possibility of an agreement between the US and Iran that would leave them facing an angry regime. The war has overturned Iran's relations with its neighbors, who have tried to stabilize their relations with Tehran in recent years. Gulf states recently intercepted drones and missiles launched by Iran. Qatar suggests finding ways to coexist with Iran, recognizing that the country is an important neighbor. However, the situation remains unstable and the possibility of escalation is real.
