Berlinale 2026 to Close with Sahra Manou's "No Good Men"

Sahra Manou's film "No Good Men" will close the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival. The film centers on Naru, a female operator at Kabul TV, who questions her belief that there are “no good men” in Afghanistan when she develops a relationship with reporter Qodrat shortly before the Taliban's return to power. "No Good Men" is the third part of an ambitious five-film project, based on the autobiographical writings of Anwar Hashimi, who co-stars in the film. Manou has already gained recognition for her previous films, "Wolf and Sheep" and "The Orphanage", which were screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
