Azerbaijan: Iran's Attack Will Not Go Unanswered

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that the attack by Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in the Nakhchivan region, which injured two people, will not go unanswered. Baku is preparing retaliatory measures to protect its territorial integrity and sovereignty. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered an official protest note to the Iranian ambassador, condemning the intrusion of Iranian drones into its territory. The attack hit the airport terminal and a school, causing damage and injuries. Azerbaijan accuses Iran of violating international law and contributing to increased tensions in the region. It demands that Tehran investigate the incident and take measures to prevent similar future episodes. Tehran has long expressed concerns about the possible use of Azerbaijani territory by Israel to launch attacks against Iran. Azerbaijan has stated that it will not allow its territory to be used for offensive actions.
