Arrests Made Following Limassol Clashes

Police have made two arrests following clashes in Limassol after the derby match between Apollon and APOEL. A group of fans attacked police officers, throwing stones, necessitating the use of tear gas and 'Ajax' (a riot control vehicle) to control the situation. The arrested individuals, aged 25 and 23, are charged with public insult and assault on a police officer, respectively. Police are investigating the circumstances of the clashes and further arrests are expected.
