AKEL Accuses DISY and Prosecution over Surveillance Scandal

AKEL is launching new accusations against DISY and the Prosecution regarding the handling of cases involving former Israeli agents during the Anastasiades administration. AKEL argues that there is institutional collusion between the Anastasiades government, DISY, and the illegal activities of companies linked to these agents. Specifically, it criticizes the silence of Attorneys General Savvides and Angelides regarding the suspension of criminal prosecution against Mr. Dillian, despite his company's admission of guilt. Furthermore, it denounces the Christodoulides government's failure to examine evidence submitted to Parliament and in the Auditor General's report, thus covering up collusion and illegal surveillance. AKEL also reports the existence of invoices to the Police for services from the companies of Dillian and Avni, as well as a strange suspension of a CYPS director. Finally, it expresses concern about the amendment of surveillance legislation, which legalizes the use of surveillance equipment such as Predator and Pegasus.
