8,000 Vaccinations Completed in Cyprus, EU Delivery Expected February 28th

In Cyprus, 8,000 vaccinations against the cattle disease have been administered so far, with an additional 50,000 doses expected from the occupied territories today and 28,000 doses from the EU on February 28th. Checks and sampling continue in the infected area and other areas of Cyprus, with no new cases detected. Meanwhile, the culling and burial of animals from infected herds continue, with designated burial sites coordinated with various services. Spraying points have increased to 21, and wheel washes are being constructed in communities. The Minister of Agriculture is in consultations with agricultural organizations to support livestock farmers. Finally, the entry of priests into the infected area is being investigated, and the public is urged to restrict access to those who have work in the area.
