45-Year-Old Arrested in Connection with Drug Case

The Limassol Police have arrested a 45-year-old man to facilitate investigations into a drug case linked to a previous attempted murder investigation. The drugs – cannabis, cannabis resin, and cocaine – were found in a house in Limassol in December 2024, during an investigation into the attempted murder committed on December 30, 2024. A cartridge and a sum of money were also discovered. Scientific evidence led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for the 45-year-old. The case has been referred to the Criminal Court with a hearing scheduled for March 23, 2026, but the 45-year-old remains in custody as he has not met the conditions of his release. In January 2025, the 25-year-old tenant of the house and a 20-year-old woman were also arrested, and their case is still ongoing. The arrest of the 45-year-old is part of the wider investigation by the YKAN. The case links the house to the attempted murder and possession of drugs, with authorities continuing to gather evidence and proceed with legal proceedings. The 45-year-old's failure to comply with his release conditions further complicates his position in the case.
