12 Arrests Made During Overnight Police Operations in Cyprus

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive preventative operations throughout the night, aiming to prevent criminal activity and protect citizens. A total of 12 individuals were arrested for various offenses during the operations. The arrests related to cases of illegal stay in the Republic, illegal possession of property, outstanding warrants, illegal employment, and illegal possession of burglary tools. Simultaneously, four vehicles were impounded as part of investigations into traffic offenses. A total of 29 premises were checked, with 12 reported for various violations. Additionally, over 540 traffic checks were carried out, resulting in 110 reports for traffic violations, including 37 for speeding. These operations are part of a broader, ongoing preventative plan by the Police, with increased presence, targeted checks, and immediate action in all provinces, aiming to enhance the sense of security among citizens.
