110,000 Vaccinated Against Seasonal Flu in Cyprus

The Cyprus Ministry of Health reports that the public response to vaccination against seasonal flu is satisfactory, compared to the declining trend in COVID-19 vaccination. Approximately 110,000 citizens have already been vaccinated, with 75% of vulnerable groups having received the vaccine. In contrast, COVID-19 vaccination rates remain low, with only 3,800 people vaccinated, a number similar to last year. The Ministry of Health encourages citizens to get vaccinated against the flu through their personal doctors and against COVID-19 at the Ministry's Vaccination Centers. In recent days, there has been a doubling of hospital admissions to public and private hospitals, while admissions to intensive care units remain at expected levels. The flu epidemic is on the rise, as it does every year during this period.
