No Mention of Cyprus in Erdoğan's Statements - "Problems are Not Unsolvable"

During the joint press conference in Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made no mention of Cyprus. He emphasized the value of dialogue and the management of differences with composure and respect, setting a goal of increasing bilateral trade to $10 billion. Erdoğan stated that the problems in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean are not unsolvable, provided there is good faith and constructive dialogue. He expressed his belief that progress can be made in resolving the issues if the dialogue continues. In addition, Erdoğan raised the issue of the "Turkish minority" in Western Thrace with the Greek Prime Minister, emphasizing the need to recognize religious freedoms and the right to education. The two leaders signed six cooperation agreements in various fields, including investment, culture, and civil protection.
