Christodoulides: "Seizure of Large Quantity of Drugs of Utmost Importance"

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of a large police operation that led to the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs. He stressed the importance of the development for the protection of society, especially the new generation, from the threat of drugs. President Christodoulides congratulated the Cyprus Police, the YKAN and all relevant state services for the professionalism, methodical approach and high sense of duty they demonstrated during the operation. He emphasized that such successes strengthen the shielding of society against organized crime and drug trafficking. The President stressed that the effort to combat crime continues with a plan, consistency and determination, with the main goal of strengthening the sense of security of citizens and effectively protecting society from drug trafficking circuits.
