The use of social media by minors has increased rapidly, creating serious risks to their mental health and safety. These risks include exposure to inappropriate content, cyberbullying, addiction, and loss of personal data. Many countries, such as Australia, have already taken measures, such as banning the creation of accounts for children under 16. Europe, and Cyprus in particular, are considering raising the age limit and implementing age verification systems, while France has already passed a law banning the use of social media by children under 15.
