Low-Pressure System Brings Rain, Storms, and Snow to Cyprus

A low-pressure system centered in the Black Sea is affecting Cyprus, bringing cloudy skies, local showers, and isolated thunderstorms. Snow is expected in the higher mountains. Dust will thicken in the atmosphere until noon. Winds will be strong to very strong, with gusts potentially reaching 9-10 Beaufort, and the sea will be very rough to stormy. The temperature will reach 18 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast, but 6 degrees in the mountains. Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy with possible rain, mainly in the western half of the island, and a chance of snow in the mountains. The temperature will drop to 9 degrees Celsius inland and 4 degrees in the mountains, with a possibility of frost. Local increased cloud cover is expected on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with a gradual rise in temperature.
