PHOTO: Epiphany Celebrations at Zygi Harbor with the Old Calendar Church

Cypriot faithful of the GOC Church celebrated the Holy Epiphany with religious reverence and splendor at the Zygi harbor. The ceremony of the immersion of the Holy Cross and the blessing of the waters took place with the participation of clergy, church committees, catechism schools, youth groups, and hundreds of citizens. The ceremony was presided over by Metropolitan Gerasimos of Kitium GOC, while MPs, representatives of local authorities, and other officials were also present. The celebration marked the first time the blessing of the waters was held in Zygi by the GOC Church. Photos from the event were published, capturing the participation and devotion of the faithful.
