PHOTO: Rescue Operation of Two People in the Perivolia Sea Area

On February 27th, the Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) activated the National Search and Rescue Plan 'NEARCHOS' to rescue two people in danger in the sea area of Perivolia, Larnaca. A helicopter from the 460 Helicopter Squadron of the General Staff of the National Guard (GEEF) and an ambulance from the OKYPY Ambulance Service were mobilized for the rescue operation. The two individuals were airlifted by the helicopter and transferred to the shore, where they were handed over to the ambulance. After examination, it was confirmed that they were in good health and were released.
