German Minister Warns of Fuel Shortages if War Continues

Germany's Minister of Economy, Katarina Reiche, warned that the continuation of the war will lead to global fuel shortages if it lasts until late April and early May. Currently, there is no shortage, but the situation could change soon. Simultaneously, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius assured that Germany will not directly participate in the war in the Strait of Hormuz, but could contribute to maintaining peace in the region with its own military forces. Mr. Pistorius signed defense cooperation agreements with Australia and Japan. Germany is closely monitoring the situation and considering ways to mitigate potential impacts.
