Cyprus President Will Not Attend Davos Peace Council Signing Due to Prior Commitments

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, announced that the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will not attend the signing of the accession act to the Peace Council in Davos due to prior commitments. However, the Republic of Cyprus supports the initiatives of US President Donald Trump for the peace process in Gaza and any effort to resolve disputes within the framework of international law. Mr. Kombos noted that there are issues concerning the operation of the Council that require further analysis and discussion, given the importance and scope of the agreement. Cyprus was part of the closed group invited by Trump and expresses its warm thanks for the invitation.
