O Ντόναλντ Τραμπ έκρινε πως είναι «πιθανό» ο πρόεδρος της Ρωσίας Βλαντίμιρ Πούτιν να «βοηθά λίγο» το Ιράν, όμως άφησε να εννοηθεί πως δεν έχει αντίρρηση σε αυτό, σε μια συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε στο Fox Radio, η οποία μεταδόθηκε σήμερα.
«Πιστεύω πως είναι πιθανό πως τους βοηθούν λίγο, ναι, το φαντάζομαι», είπε ο Αμερικανός πρόεδρος, προτού προσθέσει: «Και εκείνος πιστεύει πιθανόν πως βοηθάμε την Ουκρανία, έτσι δεν είναι;».
«Το κάνουν και το κάνουμε», συμπλήρωσε στη συνέντευξη που παραχώρησε στο "The Brian Kilmeade Show", σε ύφος που άφηνε να εννοηθεί πως δεν τον προσβάλλει η στήριξη που προσφέρει η Ρωσία στην Τεχεράνη.
Στην ίδια συνέντευξη, ο Τραμπ είπε πως οι ΗΠΑ δεν έχουν ανάγκη βοήθεια στο θέμα της άμυνας κατά των ντρόουν, όταν ρωτήθηκε εάν η Ουκρανία παράσχει τέτοια βοήθεια.
