Turkish Cypriot Leader to 'Homework' President Christodoulides with Questions

Turkish Cypriot leader, Erhurman, stated he will question President Christodoulides during their meeting regarding his stance on a two-state solution. This was prompted by President Christodoulides’ inquiry about Erhurman’s claim of being on the same page as Turkey. The Turkish Cypriot side continues to set preconditions for dialogue rather than negotiating positions. Erhurman argued that political equality is the key issue and Cyprus must accept this condition for negotiations to begin. It is observed that Erhurman faces less criticism for setting preconditions compared to President Christodoulides, despite Cyprus being the partially occupied side. The discussion centers on the need to ensure the functionality of the Republic of Cyprus and the utilization of its resources for the benefit of all Cypriots.
